The nose is a complex feature, and rhinoplasty, a surgery of millimeters, is one of my favorite. As one of the most challenging cosmetic surgery procedures to perform well—considerable surgical skill, specialized training, and experience are necessary, especially for male patients, where the skin can be thicker and the cartilage more resilient to change. An experienced rhinoplasty cosmetic surgeon will be aware of and respect the wider bridge and tip and straighter angles of the male nose in order to achieve a natural, masculine result.

Men's Rhinoplasty in Las Vegas, NV
A naturally attractive face is defined by balance and proportion between features. If your nose seems out of proportion with the rest of your face—maybe it’s “too big,” turns downward, or has a prominent bump—rhinoplasty, or nose reshaping surgery, can change the shape of your nose to create a more aesthetically pleasing look.
A diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and double-board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Otolaryngology and American Osteopathic Board of Facial Plastic Surgery, Dr. Samir Pancholi has extensive knowledge, training and experience with rhinoplasty surgery, and has helped men in Las Vegas improve their nasal contours for over 10 years.
How rhinoplasty can help?
Unlike many features of your body, which you can hone and perfect through diet, exercise and a great stylist, there’s not much you can do on your own to change a nose you’re unhappy with. Front and center on your face, you can’t play it down with tailored clothing or an expensive haircut. Rhinoplasty can permanently improve the shape, size or symmetry of your nose by remodeling the bone, skin and cartilage to a look that suits you.
There are numerous improvements that this highly individualized procedure can achieve:
- Reduce the size of an overly large nose
- Narrow a nose that’s too wide
- Reduce a prominent nasal tip or nostril size
- Lift a drooping nasal tip
- Straighten out a large bump or crooked nose
- Restore symmetry to a nose damaged by injury
- Improve breathing caused by a misshapen septum

“One other common procedure that we see men quite a bit for is rhinoplasties and chin enhancements. When we look at this, one of the big things that we see with men is the importance of a strong chin. If you look at leaders, CEOs, presidents, what do they all have in common? They have strong chins. So, for men looking to gain a little bit more confidence in themselves, we want to assess your overall facial balance and provide you with that strong chin.
Often, this is combined with a genetic feature like a bump on your nose. Getting rid of that bump on your nose and enhancing your chin can truly transform you into the confident person you want to be.”–Dr. Samir Pancholi

What To Expect During Your Rhinoplasty
Dr. Pancholi performs rhinoplasty in a fully-accredited surgery center in Las Vegas. Anesthesia is provided by a board-certified anesthesiologist for your safety and comfort.
The procedure itself usually lasts between 2 to 2½ hours. Incisions used for rhinoplasty are well hidden—the only incision outside the nose is made on the undersurface of the nose between the nostrils (columella). Using these incisions as an entry point, Dr. Pancholi will raise the tissues covering the nose to access and refine the underlying structures. Here, various techniques are used to reshape the nose by trimming, shaving, and recontouring the cartilage and bone.
The nose is then refined further with meticulous placement of delicate, hair-thin sutures, and structurally reinforced by grafting cartilage, which helps maintain the new shape over time. Throughout the procedure, the nose and nostrils are continuously evaluated to ensure optimal harmony between them. After completing the reshaping, a thin tape and a splint are placed on your nose to protect it. From here, you are in charge of taking care to not bump your nose or sleep on it while this delicate structure heals, gains strength, and returns to a stronger, more normal state.
Recovery after nose surgery in Henderson, NV
While pain isn’t usually an issue after rhinoplasty with Dr. Pancholi, the first few days will be the most sore. Sutures and splints are usually removed within the first week. Swelling is expected and will be dramatic for the first 7-10 days. You will see steady changes and improvements over the next 3 to 6 months as the swelling continues to disappear and reveal the nose.
Most patients feel ready to return to a desk job within 7 to 10 days, while more active jobs require 2 to 3 weeks. You can gradually resume exercise after 3 to 4 weeks, but avoid contact sports or placing any pressure on the nose for at least 6 weeks after surgery.
Slight changes should be expected for a minimum of a year. Once fully healed, you’ll enjoy your new nose for a lifetime.
Visualize your new nose
During your consultation with Dr. Pancholi, not only will you discuss concerns and changes you’d like to make to your nose—he will also use computer imaging to show you these possibilities. It is often helpful to see how even the most subtle changes can make a dramatic improvement in appearance.
