We Are Now Accepting Applications for the 2018 Pancholi Scholarship for Nevada Educators
We’re excited to announce the beginning application period for the first annual Pancholi Scholarship for Nevada Educators. Developed by Dr. Samir Pancholi to help support our next generation of teachers, the Pancholi Scholarship for Nevada Educators will award one recipient $2,000 to be used for tuition and educational expenses as they pursue a degree in education.
As a lifelong student and educator, Dr. Pancholi feels strongly about supporting our schools and teachers on both a local and national level. And with Nevada facing a shortage of teachers, he is particularly eager to help those who have felt the call of the classroom.
Who is eligible for the scholarship?
Any current Nevada resident who is interested in a career in education and is pursuing a degree is welcome to apply for the $2,000 scholarship—whether you are a high school senior, current education major, or considering returning to school.
Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Nevada resident;
- Must be pursuing a degree or career path in an education-related field at an institution of higher learning the following semester;
- Must submit one letter of recommendation with valid contact information;
- Must complete application form, provide original essay answers, and upload completed application and one letter of reference.
All applications will be reviewed by the scholarship committee, and the chosen applicant will be awarded $2,000 in the form of a cash prize. This award money is to be used toward tuition and educational expenses, including but not limited to textbooks, supplies, technology, on-campus dining, housing, and transportation.
The application submission period runs now through June 13th, 2018. Submitted applications will be reviewed and a winner selected and contacted.
Dr. Pancholi and the Scholarship Committee would like to wish all of our applicants the very best of luck!
