More regulation on plastic surgery in California is good news for Las Vegas

The LA Times reported on May 26 that California lawmakers are pushing for even more regulations concerning the safety of plastic surgery.

California state Senator Mark Ridley-Thomas (D-Los Angeles) has proposed a regulation known as SB 1454 – requiring cosmetic surgery clinics to be regularly inspected, for instance, at least once in every three years.

The death of Donda West, Kanye West’s mother, has also prompted another California lawmaker to push for more patient safety measures. The bill known as AB 2968, put forward by Assemblywoman Wilmer Amina Carter (D-Rialto) requires a patient to receive a physical examination prior to undergoing cosmetic surgery.
