VASER Liposuction Las Vegas

Reach your body’s full potential with Dr. Pancholi and VASER® Liposelection

Many people have a great shape that just needs some strategic sculpting to take things to a different level. Although it’s not for everyone, liposuction can be a great solution for the right patient—and in the hands of a highly-skilled cosmetic surgeon, VASER® “Hi-Definition” Liposelection can achieve dramatic results with less recovery time.

Why choose VASER® Liposelection with Dr. Pancholi?

There are many technologies available when it comes to liposculpture. The most important element, however, is not the technology, but the surgeon’s ability to see and shape the body irrespective of the technology.

Knowing the human form, working alongside sculptors, and having sculpted the body in clay himself, Dr. Pancholi takes this knowledge and artistic eye and applies it to you and his vision of how to sculpt your body and reveal the curves and contours that are waiting to come out. Much more tedious and time-consuming than standard liposuction, VASER “high definition” liposuction can create the look that you’ve always wanted.

Using this advanced technology to assist his finely tuned skills, Dr. Pancholi can better sculpt a fit, athletic appearance in men and women by removing fat to reveal muscle groups and make muscles appear more defined. VASER can target specific areas of fat throughout the body, and it’s powerful enough to target large areas of fat, yet gentle enough to also safely treat delicate areas of the body, such as the neck and arms.

  • Precision in Fat Removal: VASER technology allows for more precise removal of fat, particularly beneficial in areas requiring detailed contouring.
  • Reduced Trauma to Surrounding Tissues: The ultrasonic energy in VASER Liposuction specifically targets fat cells, resulting in less trauma to surrounding tissues like nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue.
  • Improved Skin Retraction: The ultrasonic energy can stimulate collagen production, potentially leading to better skin retraction and smoother results post-surgery.
  • Effective for Dense or Fibrous Areas: VASER Liposuction is effective in removing fat from areas that are traditionally more challenging, such as the back or male breast tissue.
  • Refined Body Contouring: The precision of VASER technology allows for more defined and aesthetically pleasing body contouring results.
  • Less Pain and Bruising: Patients often report reduced pain and bruising compared to traditional liposuction, due to the gentler nature of the ultrasonic technique.
  • Reduced Recovery Time: Many patients experience a quicker recovery time with VASER Liposuction, allowing for a faster return to normal activities.
  • Effective in Treating Larger Quantities of Fat: VASER Liposuction can be an effective option for patients needing significant fat removal.
  • Can Be Combined with Other Procedures: It’s often used in conjunction with other body contouring procedures, such as a tummy tuck or natural fat transfer.
  • Potential for Improved Fat Grafting Results: When used for fat transfer procedures (like Brazilian Butt Lift), the VASER technology can help preserve the quality and viability of the fat cells.
  • Anesthesia: Medication used to prevent pain during surgery, which can be either general (inducing unconsciousness) or local (numbing a specific area).
  • Cannula: A thin tube used in liposuction procedures, including Vaser Liposelection, to remove fat from the body.
  • Fat Cells: Cells in the body that store fat. They are the primary target in liposuction and Vaser Liposelection procedures.
  • Liposuction: A cosmetic surgery procedure that removes fat from specific areas of the body, often used for body contouring.
  • Seroma: A collection of fluid that builds up under the surface of the skin, which can be a potential complication of liposuction procedures.
  • Skin Retraction: The process by which the skin tightens or contracts after the removal of fat. Vaser Liposelection aims to enhance skin retraction for smoother results.
  • Subcutaneous Fat: The layer of fat located just beneath the skin, which is often targeted in liposuction and Vaser Liposelection.
  • Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction (UAL): A type of liposuction that uses ultrasonic vibrations to liquefy fat cells before removal. Vaser Liposelection is a form of UAL.
  • Vaser: An acronym for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance, a technology used in Vaser Liposelection to target fat cells with ultrasonic energy.
  • Vaser Liposelection: A minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses ultrasound technology to target and break down fat cells for easier removal, while preserving surrounding tissues.
  • VASERsmooth: A tool sometimes used in Vaser Liposelection to target and disrupt fibrous tissues that can cause skin dimpling or cellulite.

How is VASER Liposelection better for me?

Conventional liposuction aggressively removes fat, which can damage surrounding tissues and impose a longer-than-necessary recovery period. VASER Lipo is tissue-selective, meaning it can specifically target fat, while protecting nerves, blood vessels and connective tissues from damage. As a result, you should experience significantly less pain and bruising and a quicker return to your normal activities.

Improved skin contraction is another key benefit of the VASER technique. The ultrasonic energy heats the skin and subdermal tissues, which prompts new collagen production and helps your skin become firmer and smoother over your newly sculpted shape.

Although a wonderful tool, in the end, it is your cosmetic surgeon’s ability to use this technology that will matter most when it comes to getting great results.

Video transcript

“So, high-definition liposuction is a really fun type of procedure, but it’s for a very certain, specific candidate. When you come in and you’ve been working out in the gym and you’re almost there and you want to have that finishing touch, that’s where high-definition liposuction comes into play. Now, there are various types, and not everyone has to look etched like they just came out of a muscle magazine, and some people just want that soft Pilates look. We can do both, and a lot of this is you expressing the look that you want. The difference is how we’re using it and what we’re doing.

So, a lot of people come in and they start asking about different technologies that we have. Technologies are important because they allow us to have the tools that make things better than we could have made them. The biggest thing with all of this, though, is not the technology; it’s who’s doing it and do you have the vision to create the look that you want. The tools just allow us to do it a little bit easier. With that, we do get to use things like Vaser that help us really get close to the skin and Renuvion, which allows us to take that thin area, snap it down, and really give you that nice look of having the line down the middle of your abdomen and the nice silhouette on each side of your abs.”–Dr. Samir Pancholi

How does VASER Liposelection work?

VASER Lipo uses ultrasonic energy to selectively break apart and gently remove unwanted fat.

The area to be treated is injected with a special saline solution known as “tumescent fluid.” This contains an anesthetic that numbs the target area and shrinks nearby blood vessels. It also temporarily expands the targeted area, making fat cells easier to remove.

Thin ultrasonic probes are selected for the type of fat being treated and inserted through small incisions. Sound waves tuned to a frequency to break fat cells are then emitted at the end of the probe. This energy will break fat cells while leaving the surrounding tissues, blood vessels, and nerves unharmed. The loosened fat cells are then removed from the body using gentle suction.

After surgery, Dr. Pancholi will give you a recovery plan to promote maximum skin retraction and smooth results. Most likely, you will need to wear a compression garment on the treated area for the first few weeks. Dr. Pancholi may recommend massage therapy to enhance results and speed recovery.

What body areas can be treated with VASER Lipo?

Because VASER Liposelection allows for very fine sculpting, areas that can be treated with regular tumescent liposuction can also be treated:

  • Face, Chin & Neck
  • Abdomen, Back, & Chest
  • Hips, Buttocks & Lovehandles
  • Breasts for male & female breast reduction
  • Upper Arms
  • Inner & Outer Thighs
  • Knees, Calves & Ankles

How much fat can be taken?

Multiple body areas can usually be treated in one surgery. Overall, Dr. Pancholi has two main limiting factors: (1) the total amount of fat that is expected to be removed, and (2) how many different areas are going to be treated. Each factor will demand the body’s healing resources and too much of either can limit a safe recovery.

Bear in mind that liposuction is not intended as a primary weight loss solution. The goal is to create a slimmer, more sculpted silhouette. You may not notice a significant amount of weight loss, but you should be pleased with your slimmer new shape.

Am I a good VASER candidate?

It is essential to have a stable body weight and to have adopted a realistic diet and exercise program. A person who gains significant weight after liposuction will typically gain weight elsewhere on the body, possibly developing an odd and lumpy appearance where liposuction was previously performed.

Losing weight after liposuction can improve your appearance up to a point where the skin can no longer contract to keep up with weight loss. In this case, loose skin can result and additional surgery may be needed to tighten or remove excess skin.

What is the recovery time?

It is normal to feel sore and achy for the first 5 to 7 days after any liposuction procedure. This will improve gradually over the next 3-4 weeks as swelling decreases and your new shape reveals itself. Your skin may feel itchy as swelling decreases and it contracts to your new, slimmer contours. Recovery time can vary with the number of areas treated and volume of fat removed.

How soon will I see my results?

Most patients report seeing improvements immediately after the procedure, with more defined results after three to four months.  Your shape will continue to improve over the next 3 to 6 months. Dr. Pancholi will tell you how much fat he removed to give you a better idea of what your new “normal” weight is after liposuction and to provide a new reference point for weight gain and loss.

How long will the results last?

Being at a weight you can achieve and maintain is key for optimal, lasting results with VASER liposelection. Crash dieting to an unrealistic number will likely result in your weight creeping back up to a number that your lifestyle dictates.

A better approach: commit to a diet and exercise program that is realistic for you to reach and maintain a healthy, stable weight. Doing so before you have liposuction will help your results last longer, more likely result in you being able to return your diet and exercise program and hopefully lose a few more pounds rather than gaining weight and developing a look you may not like.

What about future weight gain? Will fat migrate to other areas?

Once you have fat removed, it is gone. Assuming a healthy lifestyle of proper diet and exercise, it should not return or migrate. However, because fat is necessary to a healthy body, some essential fat layers in any given area remain untreated.

If you do experience weight gain or loss after your VASER Lipo procedure, it will tend to be proportionately distributed over your entire body. If you gain a significant amount of weight, your body may start to make more fat cells while your current remaining fatty tissue can expand resulting in a lumpy irregularity. Normal aging changes can also be expected.

How much does VASER Lipo cost?

At Cosmetic Surgery of Las Vegas, VASER Lipo prices start at $6,990, including surgeon’s fees, anesthesia and operating room costs, and pre- and post-op care.

The total cost of your treatment will vary depending upon the number of body areas treated and the extensiveness of the procedure. At your consultation, Dr. Pancholi will help you understand what unique circumstances your body presents and what will help achieve your best result.
